Licensing

SondeFox applications are intended to remain free of charge. Their public source and binary distribution are pending review; the separate sdr-fox source is available now.

Current companion terms

The canonical sdr-fox receiver companion is offered under MIT OR Apache-2.0. Its notices describe separate dependency obligations. Public source availability does not announce a supported binary release.

Planned application license

The plan is to release cleared SondeFox-owned application code under Apache License 2.0. That planned choice does not license currently private material or announce completion of ownership, dependency, patent, or historical review. The application release license files and notices will state its actual terms when source becomes available. Third-party libraries, map services, and artwork retain their own terms. Optional Google map functionality remains subject to its provider terms.

Notices and contributions

Approved application downloads will carry applicable third-party notices. Contributor agreements are being prepared separately from the public source licenses, and external code intake remains closed.
